The Vogelsberg is small, green and surprisingly good for a day of bends. The area around Schotten, Hoherodskopf and Laubach is the bit to aim for. You climb through forest, cross open volcanic hills and then drop back into villages where nothing feels very hurried. Schotten also has real motorcycle history because of the old Schottenring races. The B276 around Schotten is well known with riders, so expect company on good weekends. A nice stop is Hoherodskopf, one of the high points of the Vogelsberg, with food, views and enough space to park the bike.
